Been enjoying the Fruit Bats’ new album, Tripper. “The Banishment Song” is quite different from what I know of the Fruit Bats, namely their album Mouthfuls. It’s nearly a Scissor Sisters song with the funky falsetto vocals (you’ll hear what I mean after the minute long intro). The album is quite eclectic as a mix of folk, alt-folk, hints of electronic at times, and bits of pop-rock, but ends up just being fun to listen to.
