First heard this song at the end of a Mad Men episode. It’s now one of my favorites. It’s not a deeply depressing song, but it is a sad and unfortunate story, told by someone who has been disappointed before. The guitar picking maintains the singers pride and keeps him moving on, but the harmonica and the singer’s sorrowful melody reveals his true loneliness.
